Official Preliminary to Miss Tennessee & Virginia United States January 7 & 8th 2012, Renaissance Theater, Kingsport TN

To all Contestants aged 0 to 9 Years old, the Baby Miss through Young Miss divisions are open to any state and consist of the following competitions. Sports Wear (Contestants model white polo style shirt with white shorts or skirts, black belt, white socks and white sneakers) you can wear any accessories that you wish. Then they model their formal wear. Winners will compete in the State Pageant in Richmond VA and receive official Sash, Crown and Flowers. You are welcome to take advantage of all events on the 7th please see below for that information. One adult allowed in the dressing room per contestant for this age only!

To all Contestants aged 10 to 50 years old, special rules...the Little Miss through Ms divisions consist of the following competitions. Opening Introduction (Contestants model Red, White or Blue Cocktail Dress) you can wear any accessories you may wish. They will then have an interview, swim suit (must be solid color no prints piping of a different color is allowed) with the exception of the Little Miss you will not compete in Swim Suit instead you will compete in the sports wear that is the white polo style shirt with white shorts or skirts, black belt, white socks and white sneakers, evening gown and onstage question. Please see below for special events. Winners will compete in the State Pageant in TBA, Tennessee or Richmond VA and receive official Sash, Crown and Flowers. We will have hair and makeup as well as spray tan staff for hire as there will be no adults allowed in the dressing room at no time!

Saturday January 7, 2012

9am - 10:30am.....Little Miss through Ms. Contestants report to the Renaissance Theater for Orinetation and Rehersals.

9am - Salon Miss Northeast Tennessee & Southwest Virginia United States OPENS.......Baby Miss through Young Miss Contestants are welcome to arrive to use the dressing rooms.

11am - Baby Miss through Young Miss Pageant Begins.

12pm - 4pm Little Miss through Ms Contestants Interviews. You will be give a schedule of what time you will be taken in for interview.

6pm - The Miss Northeast Tennessee & Southwest Virginia United States Fashion Show by "The ENCOUNTER" Begins. This is a mandatory appearance for the Mini Miss Winners as well as a mandatory event for the Little Miss through Ms. contestants.

7:30pm - Little Miss Northeast Tennessee & Southwest Virginia United States Sportswear Competition.

8:00pm - Miss Junior Teen, Miss Teen, Miss and Ms Northeast Tennessee & Southwest Virginia United States Swim Suit Competition Begins.

MS NORTHEAST TENNESSEE & SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA (25-50) unmarried, single, divorced may have or have not had children), MISS NORTHEAST TENNESSEE & SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA (20-28) , MISS TEEN NORTHEAST TENNESSEE & SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA (16-19), MISS JUNIOR TEEN NORTHEAST TENNESSEE & SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA (13-15), LITTLE MISS NORTHEAST TENNESSEE & SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA

(10-12). JUDGES PERSONAL INTERVIEW (25%)

The judges personal interview is a very special opportunity for the delegate to represent themselves as an individual and show their personality. Each delegate will have 5 (five) minutes of interview time. It will be a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere where the judges will get to know you better.

STAGE COMPETITION

OPENING OF THE EVENT:

SWIMSUIT COMPETITION: (25%)

SPORTS WEAR FOR LITTLE MISS: (25%)

BABY MISS THRU LITTLE MISS: Sports wear will consist of a white polo style shirt, black belt, white shorts, white socks and white sneakers. Formal wear is dress of your choice.

MISS, TEEN, & JUNIOR TEEN: One piece or two piece your personal choice. The suit must be a solid color. No prints or strings.

If you have any body modifications such as tattooing or piercing (other than one set of earrings) please cover with make-up or remove.

***Please remember that the swimsuit competition is about your athletic fitness, posture, grace and the way you walk and present yourself.

EVENING GOWN COMPETITION: (25%)

The evening gown should be full length (a Gown touches the floor in some way when you are in your shoes!!!) and represent your individual taste in style and color. Just be beautiful, elegant and brilliant. This competition is about beauty, glamour, posture and confidence. Gloves are allowed if the delegate chooses.

MISS CONGENIALITY :
The delegate themselves will vote on the one delegate they felt was the most friendly, pleasant, helpful, kind, charming and their most favorite delegate in the contest. The majority of votes will determine the winner. Ballots are to be returned after the final rehearsal.

WINNERS OF THIS PAGEANT WILL HAVE THEIR ENTRY FEE PAID TO ENTER THE MISS TENNESSEE STATE OR VIRGINIA STATE PAGEANT IN THE HOST CITY. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FURNISH YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THIS PAGEANT AND PAY FOR YOUR HOTEL AND ALL OTHER EXPENSES. IF FOR SOME REASON YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE STATE PAGEANT PLEASE LET THE DIRECTOR KNOW BEFORE THE PAGEANT.

Competition consists of the following:

Divisions Ages 10 & up $250 Will have 4 competition phases each make up 25% of the score. Interview, Swim Suit, Evening Gown and On Stage Question!

Divisions Ages 0 to 12 yrs old $150 Will have 2 competition phases each make up 50% of the score, Sports wear & Formal Wear!

All Ads must be received by December 16, 2012 no exceptions! Ad Booklets will sell for $20.00 at the pageant however booklets
You or the business you see your ad to must design your own ad page(s). If for some reason you can not do it I can get assistance for you at the cost of $25 per page. Ad Pricing is listed below:
Full Page Ad: $200.00, 1/2 Page Ad: $150.00, 1/4 Page Ad: $90.00, Business Card: $70.00, Patron Listing: $30.00

After the 1st page is bought begining with the 2nd page the contestant earns $100 for every page sold to cover the cost of the pageant (entry, wardrobe, coaching etc...)The Contestant that has the highest total dollar of Ad Page Sales will Appear on the Program in a color Photo!

Advertisement Information Page

Each Contestant competing at the Miss Northeast Tennessee & Southwest Virginia United States Pageant has the opportunity to sell program ad pages to help pay for their pageant expenses. After all ads have been turned in we calculate who sold the most ads and that contestant becomes our Cover Miss. This is a wonderful achievement and that contestant will appear on the front cover of the program book that will be announced during Orientation at the pageant.

Here is how the program works. You may use the next page to take to Business's, Family and Friends to advise them of what purpose you have in doing this program. Each ad page costs $200. You must purchase one page to start the credit program. For example if you only sell one page you have made no money for your expenses. However, If you sell 2 or more you begin earning half for your expenses. Lets say for example you sell 5 pages you will have $1000 in your hand you will only turn in $600 and you would have earned $400 to put toward your expenses how ever you need to do so. Start this program early and you will have plenty of time to sell several ad pages. Remember most times business's love for you to come in and sell ads they love the tax deduction.

I do require all ad pages come to me printer ready. We prefer JPEG images however if you have no way to send the images we will take a scanable image that is also printer ready. If you don't know how to do this or just don't want to I can offer you assistance in designing and creating the ad page for a cost of $25 per page.
